Guidance for Acknowledgment of PCORnet® Relationship
PCORnet® CRNs are encouraged to place an acknowledgement on their website to reference their relationship with PCORnet. The acknowledgement must meet three criteria:
- Stand apart from other sections of the CRN website content in a callout box or area differentiated by color or graphics.
Callout Box
A callout box, in this context, is a visually distinct section that stands out from the website’s natural flow due to its color differentiation. See the following example of a callout box from https://pedsnet.org/. Notice that the acknowledgement statement appears in a different color from the website footer and color of the area directly above the statement.
- Use the approved acknowledgement statement language.
Approved Acknowledgement Statement Language
CRNs must use the specific approved language in their acknowledgment, depending on their funding.
[Name of CRN] is a Network Partner [or Clinical Research Network] in PCORnet® which has been developed with funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute® (PCORI®).
Add the following text if the CRN received infrastructure funding from PCORI:
[Name of CRN]’s participation in PCORnet [is/has been/was] [partially] funded through PCORI Award (##-###-####)]. [If applicable: a simple statement referencing additional or other source(s) of funding may be added].
- Include the PCORnet logo (including the logo is optional) alongside the acknowledgement statement only if
-
- The background is white
- The minimum space of 18px or ¼ inch around the logo is maintained
- CRNs may not create a logo lock up with the PCORnet logo and the CRN logo (i.e., CRN logo cannot be included in the callout box)
- The PCORnet logo may not be placed near the CRN logo (e.g., if the PCORnet logo is used in the callout box at the bottom of the webpage, the CRN logo may not also be placed at the bottom of the website)
