PCORnet Summit at the 2015 PCORI Annual Meeting, Washington, DC: October 8
October 8, 2015
The PCORnet Summit is open to all PCORI Annual Meeting attendees and will focus around the following key themes that best highlight a “network of networks” transforming clinical research: innovation and collaboration; breakthrough solutions to major problems in research; and meaningful patient experiences and engagement. If you can’t make the meeting follow @PCORnetwork during the summit for more information.
The day will be divided into the following segments: collaborations between CDRNs and PPRNs, innovations developed by the CDRNs and PPRNs, data operations to support research efficacy, and current research within the network. The summit will showcase diverse research projects occurring PCORnet-wide. These research projects include ADAPTABLE (Aspirin Dosing: A Patient-Centric Trial Assessing Benefits and Long-Term Effectiveness), the first demonstration project to be conducted through PCORnet; two obesity studies being investigated that include Short- and Long-Term Outcomes Related to Bariatric Surgery and Long-Term Effects of Antibiotics on Childhood Growth; and the Health Systems Demonstration Projects, supporting collaboration and engagement between leaders of health systems and the data networks making up PCORnet.
