Alzheimer’s and Dementia PPRN: Opportunities for Collaborations in PCORnet
June 28, 2016 @ 12:00 pm EDT - 1:00 pm EDT
Join us on Tuesday, June 28th from noon to 1:00pm ET for a public webinar from the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Patient & Caregiver-Powered Research Network (Alzheimer’s PPRN).
An estimated 15 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, making up 83 percent of all help provided to these patients. The Alzheimer’s Association values this unpaid care at $221 billion annually. Harnessing the power of data and unique partnerships, the Alzheimer’s PPRN aims to connect patients, caregivers, and researches focused on developing, conducting, and disseminating patient-centered dementia research.
Dr. Ronald Petersen will provide an Overview of the Alzheimer’s PPRN, Drs. Michael Weiner and Rachel Nosheny will present on the Brain Health Registry and Alzheimer’s PPRN Caregiver Portal, and Ms. Meryl Comer will discuss Patient Caregiver Engagement at the Alzheimer’s PPRN. The end of the hour-long webinar will allow time for a question and answer session.
