ADAPTABLE Facebook Live Broadcast
February 13, 2017 @ 11:30 am EDT
February is heart month—a time where we raise awareness about heart disease and how people can prevent it. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease. The good news is that heart disease can often be prevented when people make healthy choices, manage their health conditions, and take medications as appropriate.
The second ADAPTABLE Facebook Live event will be broadcasted from Duke University Medical Center on February 13, 2017 at 11:30 am EST. This event will include cardiologists and study investigators, Matthew Roe, Schuyler Jones, Daniel Munoz, and Clifton Walker, a patient with heart disease who is enrolled in ADAPTABLE.
The speakers will be live on video during the event and audience comments and questions are encouraged. We welcome attendees from across all stakeholder groups including patients with heart disease, clinicians who care for patients with heart disease, clinical researchers, patient advocates, and the general public.
Please let us know that you are coming by marking your attendance as “Going.” And, please feel free to share this event with your friends and family members.
On the day and time of the event, please visit the ADAPTABLE Facebook page. You can join the discussion by submitting a question in the comments section or tell us how heart disease has touched your life.
